Yassine ALLANI - ALLANI SUNLIFEHOLDING
Yassine ALLANI - Director of Allani Sunlifeholding

"While building on the use of solar energy, Sunlife promotes and develops original concepts and transforms them into economic structures capable of generating income while remaining competitive, i.e. far from the myth of subsidies. Thus, the conceptual and technological solutions proposed go beyond the conventional domain of simple power production. Indeed, the conventional processes such as photovoltaic and solar hot water, obscure reality. We often consume, without knowing it, products using a significant amount of fossil fuel energy (food, building materials, etc.).

In this context, the participation of Sunlife in the Rencontres technologiques MIEC09 (The MIEC09 Technology Exhibition) is in line with this approach, as the participants in this exhibition cover a wide range of activities (often not concerned first of all by renewable energy). The businesses under the umbrella of CARMA (Centre d'Animation Régional en Matériaux Avancés) and MIEC perfectly represent the vision of Sunlife, which aims at providing solutions that affect the daily life of businesses and individuals.

At MIEC, Sunlife will have the opportunity to forge links with companies in the PACA (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) region who hope to convert to solar energy using an innovative approach. The skills that will be presented by Sunlife will have to adapt to the practical needs of the companies of this region and will allow Sunlife to correct its positioning strategy if needed.

For Sunlife, after exhibiting at MIEC08, MIEC09 will be the necessary stage to understand the growing awareness of companies in the PACA region regarding renewable energy as a response to the effects of climate change. The contacts that will be established will help Sunlife build the bridges necessary for its international development at industry level and regarding its strategy.

MIEC09 will also provide an opportunity to identify suppliers capable of providing solutions to various issues regarding materials encountered by Sunlife (technical ceramics and plastic materials highly resistant to temperature and pressure, etc.)."

Jean-Philippe RICARD - ALCION Environnement
Jean-Philippe RICARD - Director of ALCION Environnement
www.alcion-env.com
"ALCION has developed a range of industrial air cleaners to improve the working conditions of operators in workshops using polyester, epoxy, polyurethane resins as well as organic or chlorinated solvents.
Analysis shows that the use of Photoclean P1000 results in a significant reduction in the concentrations of styrene and a complete elimination of isocyanates.
ALCION, in collaboration with Gaches Chimie Spécialités, helps businesses define their needs and implement and validate results.
ALCION will be present at MIEC09 to introduce its products but also to learn about the most recent developments in the field of composites and thus the needs of businesses in this sector."

Emmanuel ROSSI - ALLIZE PLASTURGIE
Emmanuel ROSSI - Managing Director of ALLIZE Plasturgie
www.allize-plasturgie.org
"Why will I attend MIEC2009?

I'll be there because the central themes of this year's exhibition focus on eco-design and innovation: two issues that are in my eyes not only inseparable but are the 'key' opportunities that SMIs in plastics must imperatively seize to gain ground competitively and affirm their position against heightened global competition.

Inseparable : for eco-design is an opportunity to inspire innovation, to rethink products and/or to develop new ones.

Competitiveness : eco-design is also an opportunity to review industrial processes and to identify sources of cost savings that have a short term impact on the balance sheet."

Georges DAO - CARI
Georges DAO - Director of CARI
www.cari.fr
"CARI will be present at MIEC this year, as sustainable development and energy efficiency are the focus.
Many areas will be affected, such as energy, building intelligence and behaviour, investment and ROI. In this context, the quality and performance of materials will undoubtedly take the utmost importance and will have to be addressed by construction companies. This is an opportunity to share and learn in order to progress faster and better."

Frédéric DEY - CARI
Frédéric DEY - ETP Engineer / Project Manager at CARI
www.cari.fr
"CARI has placed sustainable development at the heart of its strategy and of the engagement of its employees. Providing better environmental and energy performance in order to better meet our clients' needs is now essential to our business. To demonstrate this commitment, present our achievements, encourage initiatives and strongly involve our partners it is required that we communicate these new challenges. It is therefore only natural that CARI will be present at MIEC09."

Estelle MARIN - CRITT agro-alimentaire PACA
Estelle MARIN - Development Advisor to CRITT (PACA)
www.critt-iaa-paca.com
"CRITT an Innovation and technology Transfer Center dedicated to the food industry in PACA has offered since 2008 a new theme to its members and all food companies in the PACA region: eco-design, an emerging issue growing in importance. This theme is a good tool not only to meet regulatory requirements and the Grenelle environmental objectives but also to respond to client's requests and therefore those of the consumer. In close partnership with CARMA, CRITT has therefore decided to participate in MIEC 2009, not only to learn about the new developments in eco-design, but also to show that the food industry is also involved in environmental efforts."

Gwenael KERVAJAN - ECLOSIONS
Gwenael KERVAJAN - Director of consultancy and training agency ECLOSIONS
www.eclosions.fr
"A concentration of innovations, MIEC allows everyone to understand what are the factors of success and sustainability of the future.

A major lever of competitiveness, eco-design is often the starting point for businesses to differentiate themselves. Eco-design is also the starting point for a broader approach of innovation and differentiation.

For Eclosions consultants, this exhibition is an opportunity for sharing and in-depth analysis of the 'virtuous' approaches of each participant. Thus, it allows us to enrich our technical knowledge through the latest innovations regarding materials but also allows us to broaden the discussion about the future factors of competitiveness resulting from all the sustainable development measures that one can implement within their organisation.

We will therefore be present at MIEC 2009 to better understand the issues encountered by businesses and researchers, and to discuss the solutions of tomorrow."

Thierry BOBLET - Eo Développement
Thierry BOBLET - Director General of Eo Développement
www.eodeveloppement.fr
"As a training and consultancy agency in engineering and management of sustainable development, EO Développement must base its services on reliable and regularly updated data. Our participation in MIEC allows us to keep updated about new technology and to discover and assess innovative technical solutions. Our contribution is to offer our customers (communities and businesses) a combination of pertinent solutions to meet their environmental, social and economic needs.
As members of PRIDE ARTEMIS, EA-Eco entreprises and BDM, we are at the heart of a network of players developing operational solutions that contribute to the sustainable development of our regions and companies. Focusing on the environmental quality of buildings and urban planning, EO Développement works on behalf of communities such as Gardanne and the Languedoc Roussillon region. At MIEC, we will contribute to the work of PRIDE BDM regarding this approach adapted to the Mediterranean climate."

Emmanuel DELANNOY - INSPIRE
Emmanuel DELANNOY - Director of INSPIRE
www.inspire-institut.org
"We participated in MIEC for the first time in 2008. It was a very rewarding and friendly experience, a place to meet and discover professionals sharing common values and a passion for innovation with the goal of a desirable future.
MIEC is also an opportunity to discover unexpected approaches and promising innovations; it is also the perfect place to meet regional and national players in the field.
I will return in 2009."

Michel GONDRAN - MBC
Michel GONDRAN - Consultant MBC
mbc.orange.free.fr
"I will attend MIEC 2009, because, due to my profession as a consultant, I am involved in the different methods of calculating the efficiency of companies. Sustainable development is a key factor in the effectiveness of the activities of a business and in its life cycle.
MIEC is the only regional event that provides in-depth reflection on this subject in the areas of industry and research.
Sustainable development implicitly includes the development by which one must begin. Just like life cycle, it is only after the growth phase that stability emerges. Sustainability therefore aims at extending the measures taken in the interest of future generations and our planet.
Every business owner must be able to objectively assess the efficiency of his actions in connection with the results of the company in order to anticipate any crisis.
Good management must include this approach for greater efficiency and better results.
Development and sustainability will be the 2 concurrent themes which we will be able to discuss at MIEC 2009."

Benjamin TRINEL - LERM
Benjamin TRINEL - Consulting Engineer at LERM
www.lerm.fr
"Over the past ten years, LERM has been involved in projects regarding waste or co-product valorisation in the sectors of construction and public works. Our expertise in hydraulic binders, aggregates, concrete, stone and mineral materials in general and the various development projects that we undertake naturally led us to eco-construction. MIEC, held on 7th and 8th October, is an opportunity for us to share and discuss these topics of the future."

Davide POLLON - PROPLAST
Davide POLLON - Engineer of PROPLAST
www.proplast.it
"The MIEC Convention 2009 is a great opportunity for PROPLAST to meet our partners, discuss about the evolutions of significant researches in biopolymers and use of biofibers or natural fibers. These represent a very important class of additives for petrochemical polymer and biopolymers. The MIEC Convention is the only place where problematic about ecodesign and sustainable developments are brought up in the materials industries. Proplast will be present and involved in all discussion during this event."

Michel LOUBRY - PLASTICSEUROPE
Michel LOUBRY - Regional Director of PLASTICSEUROPE
www.plasticseurope.org
"I will attend MIEC 2009 to share the developments in the field of plastics today. In the last 50 years, plastic materials have revolutionized how we communicate, travel, practice sport, protect our health and our environment.
Versatile and energy efficient, they play a very active role in scientific and technological innovations that improve our quality of life.
Plastic is present in both complex and interesting applications such as nanotechnology or in everyday objects such as mobile phones.
From aerospace and electronics to architecture, transport and smart packaging, sports and medicine, there is not an area where plastic has not contributed to solutions which were unimaginable a few years ago.
Its infinite, dynamic and fantastic evolution will make plastic the material of the 21st century. MIEC is a reference event where one can discuss issues related to the development of innovative and eco-compatible materials. It is therefore important to be there."

Christian LENOTRE - SAED
Christian LENOTRE - Director of SAED
www.sophia-energie.com
"Working in the production of solar energy, SAED is particularly interested in issues related to innovation and the environment.
MIEC is a rare opportunity to find in one place an exhibition, lectures, meetings and training on transverse topics such as materials. As a business that must constantly innovate to develop competitive advantages and to integrate market and technology developments, it is important for us to take stock of opportunities and to network with suppliers, laboratories and technical centres, etc. MIEC is there for that and is now organized into themed areas such as Construction, Nautical, Energy and Aerospace, which makes it even more effective !"
